For all internship positions, we are looking for a student who can strengthen our team for a minimum period of 20 weeks, working 4 or 5 days per week. Additionally, it is important for this internship that you have a good command of the language of the country where the hotel is located and that you speak English fluently.

WHAT YOU DO 💪

Working at the toucan means working at the most hospitable hotel in the Netherlands. We do it to put a big smile on our guests's faces. But radiant guests can't do without radiant employees, and that's where you come in!

You do this by:

• Uniquely recruiting new colleagues
• Identifying the right hospitality talents when screening resumes
• Keeping the job subscriptions up to date
• Scheduling, preparing, and participating in performance reviews
• Preparing and participating in exit interviews
• Developing creative tools to engage and motivate colleagues
• Mothodically performing all related administrative tasks
• Working on various HR-related projects and recruitment events

WHO YOU ARE😁

Besides being an HR superstar, you are primarily a radiant personality. You are proud of Team Toucan, and with your enthousiastic radiance, you know how to bind (new) colleagues to Van der Valk. But you are also strong in administration and planning. You understand that a structured approach is essential in HT, and you are puruing an HBO degree in Human Resource Management or Hotel Management.

Office Management

OPERATIONAL

Are you naturally a fantastic host or hostess? Can you juggle multiple tasks at once? Then Van der Valk Diensten Centrum is the place for you! We have an exciting vacancy available as an Office Management intern, where you will support the Management Team and HR Officer in their daily tasks, while also being responsible for the appearance of our trendy office in Hotel Breukelen.

WHAT YOU DO 💪

• Answering the phone and ensuring everyone is treated courteously
• Welcoming guests and relations and providing a nice cup of coffee or tea
• Keeping the office neat and tidy and ordering groceries weekly
• Supporting the HR team, including preparing gifts for birthdays, special occations, assisting with the onboarding of new employees, coordinating sports classes, and facilitating recruitment activities
• Being part of the enthusiastic party committee and ensuring successes are celebrated

WHO YOU ARE 😁

You are hospitable, work with precision, and quickly pick up tasks. You represent Van der Valk well and show it in your work. You also enjoy supporting various departments and want to further develop your organizational and hospitable skills.

Profile:

• MBO education in hospitality, Office Management or Facility Management
• Communicatively skilled
• Independent and able to handle stress
• You take initiative and have an eye for detail
